La caja=the box

Direct Object Pronouns: Function:
A direct object tells who or what receives the action of the verb. To find the direct object you can ask who or what of the verb.
-El gato estudia la caja= -¿Qué estudia? La caja (The box)
La caja is the direct object noun. Use:
To avoid repeating a direct object noun you replace it with a direct object pronoun.
¿Qué hace con la caja? La estudia.
-La pesa= It weights it. Placement: (2)
1. The DOP goes beforethe conjugated verb
-La observa.
or
2. DOP can be attached to the infinitive.
-Va a observarla.
Lo, la, los and las can refer to both objects and people.
me, te, nos and us refer to only people.

In Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries, la tarde can stretch up until the supper hour, which may be as late as 9:00 or 10:00 P.M.
Students often confuse the terms la hora and el tiempo; la hora refers to a specific time, whereas el tiempo refers to time in general-(no tengo la hora = I don’t know the time; no tengo tiempo = I don’t have time). El tiempo can also refer to the weather.
